No matter your skin color or gender these critical conversations are for everyone as it will provide opportunities for self-reflection, tools for growth and actions to become better allies within our personal and professional lives.

What are the lived experiences of Black trans womxn in America?

Third installment of our special virtual series to explore what it means to be a Black trans womxn in America.

In recognition of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence, this installment focuses specifically on Black Transgender Womxn. In societies that center the lives of white, heterosexual males – other social identities and lived experiences are relegated to the margins. Every claimed identity carries a vulnerability for lessened humanity and, in turn, greater exposure to violence and inequalities. This critical discussion recognizes the factors that connect womxn of all identities as well as those that contribute to the continued use of gender-based violence.
